International Fossil Algae Association (IFAA)
Phycologists Database

Introduction

This database was created to support the cooperation between people working on algae related topics. We aim to cover a wide range: from nannoplankton to benthic macroalgae, from theoretical biology to sedimentology, and from the Precambrian to the Recent.

For navigation, please use the index in the frame above.

The 'Search' page alows you to look for persons by selecting a name from the 'fly out' field. In the same way you can search for people working in a certain town, institution, or country. The 'fly out' fields contain only data from existing records.

If you are looking for people working on certain topics, algal groups, or chronostratigraphic units, please mark the check boxes. The existence of check boxes does, however, not indicate that records on the respective topic already exist. Be sure to have a look at the search options at the base of the search page. After the above mentioned selections click the 'View Records' button.

If you want to Add Your Records, please fill the form and select the appropriate check boxes. Note that 'first name' and 'family name' are required fields and care for correct spelling of the email and homepage addresses. After completion, click 'Add Record'.

Please be sure to read the legal disclaimer on privacy policy before you proceed.
